All players- it is important that you arrive and check-in at least 30 minutes
prior to your tee-time. There are times when we get players off early due to no-shows.
As a reminder...all spectators
and parents are to stay on the cart path and there is no talking to our players until their scorecard has been turned in.
(FOR TOURNAMENT & PLAYER SERIES PARENTS) If you are picking up your son and daughter, we request that you be at the course 4 hours after their
tee-time. We thank you for your cooperation.
We would like to thank:
A.J. Smith, Jack Birkhofer and Erin Harper (and their parents) for donating water for our golfers. Coach & R.D. will
have it on their cart as they are making their rounds for the golfers whenever water is not provided on the course.
Our
featured Player and Tournament series players are: Luke Schamaun & Becca Jones.
Becca will be a Senior this year at Hilliard Darby High School where she plays on the golf team and on the basketball
team. Her parents are Brent & Kathy and she has a brother Ryan. Becca has played golf for 4 years and
this is her first year in our Players Series. She was the captain of her basketball team and won both the Sportsmanship
and Coaches award for golf. Her favorite course is Glen Ross Golf Club....and you know why...Becca had her first eagle
on no. 16 on June 29th. WAY TO GO BECCA!!
Luke graduated this year from Westerville Central High School and will be attending Purdue in the fall. Luke's parents
are Tim & Melanie and he has one brother, Matt. He has been playing golf for about 15 years and has been with us
at GCOJGA for the past 6 years. His favorite golf course is Bent Tree. Luke is the proud recipient of the 'Eagle Scout
Award' which is the highest advancement rank in scouting. Luke, all of us at GCOJGA are very proud of you and wish you
the 'best of luck and success' for your future.
